all star weekend didn’t go the way we hoped for the rookie but dude is only 20 years old. plenty of time for him to make another appearance. plus, i imagine he’s going to be hungry to show out and shut up anyone doubting him the rest of the way this season.
Swish Theory
Swish Theory is a new way to experience basketball analysis. Collecting a group of talented draft scouts, writers, data analysts, podcasters, and basketball minds, we set out to give basketball junkies access to the content that NBA teams use to inform their decision making processes.
Using my background in SEO, web design, and brand management, I helped launch the Swish Theory website, developing a user-friendly CMS through WordPress and custom plugins, custom post types, taxonomies, and a robust player database system. The CMS was designed to give contributors an easy platform to input player stats, highlights, videos, written analysis, and podcasts.
In 2023, we launched the Big Board. To prepare for the 2023 NBA Draft, Swish Theory scouted over 60 prospects and created a detailed ranking database for basketball fans to filter and sort from. I created dynamic fields and a custom sorting system to filter prospects by rank, skillset, and team. Each player card has expandable report features and links back to their full profile. The project was a huge success for Swish Theory, and one of the most fulfilling projects I’ve had the honor to be a part of.
